So after a year and a half since I left Boise on my sabbatical...the next step finds me married and living in Peru. There is so much to catch up on since I last wrote. I spent the month of June in the USA. I had a wonderful bridal shower in Seattle with dear friends and then the rest of the time in Boise. I sold the remaining items in storage and packed up 6 large duffle bags with the rest. (a small bit is still in storage thanks to my dear father!).
So in the next week as I find some time I will share some stories and photos. I would like to thank each of you for being an indispensable part of my journey. Your kind words, your prayers and your support have made all the difference. I am so blessed and it ovewhelms me. It is such grace to be loved so. This journey has had a lot of twists and turns and I am just trying to stay present to the moment. The wedding was wild and not what I expected, but we surived and are living our new life as a married couple. It's a beautiful thing. So, stay tuned for the details and the continued journey of a crazy Idaho girl who will soon be a Peruvian resident (a whole other paperwork nightmare). Wild! Love and hugs.
Since several have asked...I am not changing my name legally. It is very difficult in both the USA and Peru and expensive and time consuming and could have negative effects for the future economically etc. So, I'm just going to be Mrs. Zavaleta, unofficially. I like the name and it's fun for me. Our children will have both our last names...Zavaleta Henning.
Thanks for sharing in our joy.
