Greetings to all.
I am back in the US at my dear friends Bob and Maggie's house in Maryland. However, there has been a bit of a glitch. I have been having stomach issues for the past few months. However, it does not seem to be related to travel specifically. My schedule is pretty tight, only allowing me 5 days between S. America and Africa. However with the issues, it seems things might be changing. I have spent every day this week at the doctors, the hospital and now a GI specialist. So I will be postponing my trip at least 2 weeks to deal with these health issues. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Tuesday and we'll see after this.
I have also been reconsidering the prudence of visiting Kenya given the continued instability. I don't want to put myself or my hosts in unnecessary danger. So at this time everything is on hold. I have peace that it will all work out appropriately, but it is a sudden change. One thing at a time, one step at a time. A continued challenge to meet and live in the moment and not too far in the future.
Twists and turns. The good thing is that I have learned to take life in stride and not need to be so controlling. I know that things will playout and there is no need to panic. It is good to see that I have found deeper sense of personal grounding and that life is a continuous unfolding adventure. The norm is change and the unexpected. Little by little. So I will keep you updated on my developments. My house is rented until September, so I won't be going back but I may be doing something new. Time will tell. Anything is possible. Suggestions??
