Well, it seems I am off, off and away again. The doctor really doesn't know what the exact issue with my digestive system is but for the time we are going to try a strong dose of antibiotics and see if it works. The problem is that I have periods where I am well and then it comes back out of nowhere, so I hope that this will be the last of it....one can always hope. I have resigned myself to the fact I have done all I am able and it is nothing life threatening that we can tell. So, that is good enough for me. Have to keep on living.
I am also thinking of the therapy of a hot tub. I have been blessed to have had use of the McCarty's jacuzzi. The joy is sitting outside in a cool winter night with the stars. It is relaxing, rejuvenating and indulgent. I am learning to enjoy it without excuse. Not because of an aching back, not because I need to rest, just because it is a great thing and I enjoy it. For the pure joy of the experience. Anyway, that's my story.
Well, I am on my way back to Peru. I am still looking at how possibly to get back to my original Africa plan, but that will take time and discernment. Options are always open. I have a brutal couple of days ahead of me. I leave at 5 pm tomorrow for Miama then from Miama to Bogota to Lima. I arrive in Lima at 1am. I depart Lima at 4am for Tacna. I arrive in Tacna at 6 and take a 2.5 hour bus ride to Ilo......so yes.....I am crazy. We'll see how I am doing after this insane little trip. Oh the things I get myself into. Oh well. It's worth it. I'll have time to rest up again.
