Great news to share with everyone. Some of you know my brother, Brian. He is a couple of years younger than I am and has been living in Gettysburg, PA for the past few years along with my wonderful nieces Hope and Nora.
Anyway, both Brian and Suzie had been teaching at Mount St. Mary´s University in Emmitsburg, MD for the past 5 years. It is a conservative Catholic School and seminary. In addition they have been living on the East Coast for the past 11 years. We have all been hoping to have them come home to the Great Northwest for years now. However, finding the right philoophy teaching opening is not the easiest in the world. Even though he is incredibily brilliant, no sisterly affection needed.
Anyway, we just got confirmation that he has accepted a position as Associate Professor at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. This is so exciting and a wonderful dream. The school is a much better fit for both of them. Suzie is an educaton professor and currently working on her doctorate at Durham University in England. So they will all be much closer to friend and family in Idaho! I just had to share the good news. So, now that I am further away, it is consolation to my parents that they are closer. So, we will see what the move brings for them this summer.
